McLaren’s For Sale in the Philadelphia Area
McLaren’s for sale are coveted by car fanatics around the world. They offer absurd acceleration numbers, unrivaled chassis tuning and looks to die for.
A spiritual successor to the F1, the P1 competes with the Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari. It’s limited to just 375 cars and is a true drivers’ car with epic performance.
Speedtail
As McLaren’s most aerodynamic and fastest road car ever, the Speedtail is quite simply unlike any other modern hypercar on the market today. It may have a three-seater layout similar to that of the F1 – and it may be capable of searing to 250 mph if not for its electronic limiter – but the Speedtail is its own unique creature oozing with advanced tech charisma. Think of it as velocity come to life – a gleaming carbon fiber jewel that you’ll be talking about for generations.
Designed by famed McLaren Automotive design chief Rob Melville, the Speedtail’s exterior shape allows air to flow smoothly over and under its shimmering surface. Its glass cockpit canopy and rear ailerons – blended into the flexible carbon fiber tail — retract when not in use, reducing drag to help you reach your top speed. And forget about exterior mirrors, because the Speedtail’s doors feature discreet digital cameras that glide out when you activate the start button.
Inside, the Speedtail is a modern ode to the company’s rich history of motorsport. You’ll find all-carbon fiber interior surfaces draped in lightweight aniline and semi-aniline leather that can be customized with a wide range of stitching patterns and colors. The steering wheel, shifter and pedal box are all inspired by the Formula 1 and Can-Am racing cars of the company’s glory days. The cockpit feels incredibly natural and organic when you’re ensconced in the central driving position.
Powering the Speedtail is a modified version of the twin-turbocharged M480T V8 introduced in McLaren’s 720S and paired with a hybrid electric powertrain that produces 1,035 horsepower and 848 lb-ft of torque. The engine and motor work in parallel, sending their combined power to the rear wheels via a Graziano seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. According to McLaren, the Speedtail can run from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and from 0-124 mph in 6.6 seconds. It can also accelerate to 186 mph from rest in just 12.8 seconds, which makes it faster off the line than the storied McLaren P1.
720S
The McLaren 720S is a high-performance supercar that delivers serious speed, agility, and handling. Drivers in the Philadelphia area seeking perfection and ingenuity often turn to this model for its power, efficiency, and performance.
Introduced for the 2018 model year, the 720S replaces the MP4-12C and 650S as the flagship model of McLaren’s Super Series. Available in coupe or convertible (Spider) body styles, this model packs an impressive 710 horsepower into a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine that pairs with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Power-assisted, electro-hydraulic steering provides a unique connection between the driver and the car. This makes the 720S a true joy to drive on both the street and the track. It’s no wonder that drivers in the Philadelphia area are turning to this model again and again.
